First Time Parents
First time parents are so sweet. The way they think that no one has ever had a baby before, or that their baby is the cutest in the world, or that the child's needs come before everything and everyone else's in the universe. Actually they're annoying. Daddy Clay and Daddy Brad rant and rave striking out at the first timers with little regard for health or safety. Watch this episode and you won't know who needs to chill out more, new parents or the unstable and slightly neurotic hosts. DadLabs Ep. 65 The Lounge.

How to Swaddle a Baby

In this episode we offer some techniques for swaddling your baby. Nicknamed "the burrito," this is a simple swaddling method that dads can easily learn. You infant or baby will be much easier to sooth when properly swaddled. We bring in our expert pediatrician and Baby 411 author Ari Brown to demonstrate this swaddling technique. Baby Zoe volunteers to help out.  All you need is a receiving blanket and some practice to be a master burrito swaddler. If you have a colicky baby, this technique is really useful to pacify the baby. Some studies have shown that proper swaddling can reduce the risk of SIDS. Miracle Blanket, Sleepsack and Truewomb are specialized swaddling blankets if a simple receiving blanket is not enough or you are worried about choking hazards.Ep 810 is brought to you by BabyBjorn and their new Baby carrier Miracle.

BabyBjorn Baby Carrier Miracle Spotlight

Today in the spotlight we have the latest front baby carrier from BabyBjorn, the Baby Carrier Miracle. One of our favorite features of this new carrier, it is suitable for newborns without needing any inserts. Just look at Baby Oliver snoozing happily. The infant is comfortable and safe in an inward facing position for the first four to five months, then can turn around into outward facing to experience the world. The baby can develop motor skills, moving arms and legs. The design of this carrier is even more Ergonomic with an expanded waist belt. You can distribute the weight between waist and shoulders. But watch out, this Baby Carrier Miracle is a chick magnet. ep 809 is brought to you by BabyBjorn

BabyBjorn High Chair in the Spotlight

A sneak preview at the new high chair from BabyBjorn. Daddy Brad reviews the features of this Highchair from BabyBjorn and finds several things to like. The BabyBjorn Highchair is the right size and can easily be folded and stored in a space of 10 inches. This makes it ideal for smaller kitchens, or for families that don't want a high chair on display at all times. The high chair is the same height as most kitchen tables (29 inches), so that young kids can pull right up and enjoy a family meal with mom and dad and siblings. The BPA-free surfaces of the BabyBjorn Highchair wipe clean easily. There are no nooks or crannies where gunk or leftover food can hide. Daddy Clay agrees that this highchair is a great buy for savvy parents that see good design and product safety as a good value. Hosted by Brad Powell and Clay Nichols.
