328. Gear Daddy - Hot, Hot Minivan, Man

What's a minivan-driving dad to do in his attempt to salvage some hotness? Convertible? Harley? Permission from the wife is unlikely. Why not go for some smokin' flames? On the minivan. Sweet. Brought to you by charitywater.org.

Here is a link to where you can buy the magnetic flames: http://www.magnegrafix.com/

We got a couple of these, only smaller, for my dad's PT Cruiser. He thought they were pretty cool.

My wife just got us a mini van last week, does this make it hurt less to drive?

Watched the diaper pail video - that is the coolest diaper pail!! I get so disappointed when I buy (what I think) is the best pail, then something better comes out weeks later! I have the Diaper Dekor, which is fabulous, but the refill bags are expensive and you go through them often.. Thanks for the demo!

I love the way you hide them! Unfortunately, my wife is tall, so that wouldn't work for me. Although, if the flames come in pink, she might go for them. I don't know that pink flames would help me feel cool...

I refused to get the mini-van for the first kid... Went with the station wagon (Outback) and I LOVE it! Still just "rugged" enough to be manly, but still family friendly. Whatever happened to the tricked out vans of the 70s? Mini-vans seem perfect for this same type of 'pimpin' but ya never see it. They come standard with DVD players nowadays... all ya need is some shag carpet and a mattress... maybe some disco lights. :) And did I see a skateboarder medallion there? Excellent!

The Sticker Guy up in the DFW area who does incredible vinyl "stickers" that're semi-permanent (they'll usually last until you want to remove them) and look great!

Nice compromise and even cooler than the snazzy but generic magnetic flames. Be sure to check out his "Gallery" page for some nice samples of his work.

I've seen cars sporting his graphics in person and you'd almost swear the designs were painted on!

Flames on my already-girly sky blue Hyundai might be really tacky.... but funny!

Maybe you should put up a DadLabs poll about whether or not you should paint the flames on and let your wife see the overwhelming support. That might change her mind!

That's great! I didn't think about putting them on top. My wife's also short so she'd never see them there.

So this is what I need to get to convince my husband to finally get the minivan! Sweet.

Awesome idea.

Neat idea but I dont think my camry would look good with flames. But I do like the sports medallion especially golf.

Did you alredy give away the baby proofing kit from onesteapahead.com? If not, then put me in for the drawing. Thanks.

Those flames are awesome! I should get some for my Honda Elephant.

They should make magnetic Hybrid decals. So everone will think "Sweet a hybrid minivan", instead of " why Why flames on a minivan".

I'd do it but she's 5'10" and would see them on the roof....;(

What a great idea for the vans. We just bought our van (I am trying to get everybody to call it a truck!) and I am in need of some masculinity on this thing. Red truck - maybe black flames!

Great videos. Great ideas. Thank you.

HAHA. Now that I think about it a lot of things can be hidden on the roof.
