308. Gear Daddy - Bath Safety Rails
Here is a top tub trick. Getting up and over the lip of the tub is a high hurdle if you're only two feet tall. Plus it's slippery as all get-out. Daddy Troy has a great solution for one of the most perilous moments in getting your kid clean -- the tub transition. Brought to you by One Step Ahead.

1. Washcloth
2. V8 Splash Juice Bottle
3. Fingernail Brush
4. Hair Brush
5. Small Plastic Bowls (baby jar size)
1. Turkey baster (Mom and dad hate this one; more water outside the tub than in.)
2. The cat (Kitty got a little curious and wasn't looking when junior went to grab her collar. She wasn't in the tub for long but the kids loved every second.)
3. Brother, big or little (Nothing beats a sibling for bath time foolery.)
4. The shower control (Our youngest just figured out how to pull the plunger on the spigot to divert water to the shower. He has fun turning it on and off, mom and dad don't have fun getting caught in the downpour.)
5. Mom & Dad (Play peek-a-boo from the other side of the tub. Get in there and splash around with them. Play games with squirt toys. I never considered myself a bath toy, but the kids sure enjoy it.)
1. The snot sucker-or nasal aspirator (this one is my favorite! It fills up with water and he squirts everything, but they don't hold so much that it gets everywhere-just make sure you wash it out first!)
2. An empty wipee box (he just really likes to put things in and take things out)
3. Empty travel size bottles
4. Unused make-up sponges (this one happened by accident, but they tend to stick to the side of the tub, but when they're dry, I can still use them)
5. Foam floor puzzles (the kind that are squared and each one has a different letter and shape on them-this is actually perfect because they stick to the side of the tub, but dry our pretty quickly)
1. Wooden Thomas Train
2. Empty Toilet Paper Roll (It's amazing what they will fish out of the trash!)
3. Toilet Brush (Thank goodness it was brand new!)
4. Hairbrush
5. Tupperware containers
1.) A turkey baster
2.) funnel
3.) kids watering can
4.) really big swirl straws to blow bubbles in the water
ooops forgot one.
5.) squeeky dog toy that squirted water from it mouth when used in the tub. :D
1. Baby Wash pump bottle. Loves to fill this up, drink from it and screw the top on try to pump the water out! This is his favorite.
2. Last nights drinking cup from fast food. Great practice for drinking from a cup! "It's just bath water, right"!
3. Measuring spoons, loves to pick up bubbles and line them on the rail of the tub.
4. Little People, going in the snow (see above, in the bubbles) or going back and fourth while pouring.
5. BIG funnel. This is another favorite. He loves to pour from his cup or baby wash bottle into the funnel, he thinks this is so funny! What a belly laugh! This also works GREAT to rinse hair!
Nothing really strange, but their favorites are:
(1) Any plastic bottle the size of a tp roll former
(2) Washcloths
(3) Water Crayons (made for fiberglass units)
(4) Any, and many, plastic characters to make stories
(5) Swimming goggles
I'll have to introduce the funnel - it sounds like fun!
These are the things in our tub:
1. Large yellow plastic Dickey's cup
2. Crayons (not the water kind)
3. Empty Ketchup bottle (to squirt the parents with)
4. Three plastic monkey's (that were dirty too)
5. Large pasta strainer (to have a shower like Mom & Dad)
Hey kids, Thanks for the great comments on this episode. As of now the contest is closed but stay tuned for more great giveaways.
