Hi there, my name is Donnie. I'm 34, married and am currently waiting to be matched through public adoption. I got turned on to Dadlabs when my wife was pregnant just over 2 years ago. Unfortunately our pregnancy ended in miscarriage and after an unsuccessful period of trying to become pregnant again we chose instead to pursue adoption. It took us just over a year to be approved, after a lot of workshops, background checks etc. Now we are waiting for a match. Although it is potentially going to be a long wait I want to learn as much about progressive fatherhood as I can in the meantime.

I think that being a father to a child who potentially has experienced early trauma will be very challenging. I also think that a lot of the challenge will be normal kid stuff which is why I'm here. I look forward to learning from everyone on the forum.
