It wouldn't twist around that way....
11 Months, 1 Week ago
So my wife is officially 19 weeks as of this morning and the hormonal ups and downs are just a pleasure o deal with. Have a great morning, you look lovely, and I love you somehow translated into "PLEASE GET ANGRY WITH ME AND ASK WHEN I PLAN ON BECOMING A MAN!"

I kid, I kid.. It just seems to be a long wait for an exciting time, but this exciting time is getting hostile. At present while working, helping keep my wife sane, I am doing P90X and preparing for an half century (50 mile) bike event for the LIVESTRONG foundation in Philly in August. I am also trying to find time to learn to play some Mozart songs on the guitar so the baby has some comfort by song recognition after delivery.

I am excited, I can't wait to be a dad, and I am trying to enjoy each moment of the process- I just have a lot of other things that I'm juggling and it's hard to know how to "be there" for my wife when I am also trying to be there for myself. I am fundraising for LIVESTRONG, training, working a normal 45-50 work week, and then taking care of my wife.. I seriously want a a prize or something.

So to get back to where it all began.. We have tickets to see my favorite band PHISH on Saturday and I am insistent that my wife won't feel comfortable, but she insists on it... TWIST (one of my fav songs) says "If you were here more of the day, it wouldn't twist around that way...

OK. Rambling done.. welcome to my world people..

Rambling is not an unusual occurrence at the Labs. (Just ask anyone about Daddy Brad!) Check out a live show if you get the chance sometime (Wednesdays at 3:00 EST). You'll understand.

Welcome to the Labs! And the adventure! The pregnancy is def. one of the hardest times, because there's only so much YOU can do. The Mom is focused on building a baby, and body comfort along with hormones/emotions are all on the fritz... I can only say it DOES indeed get better once the kiddo is around. And then you have some direct contact/results that you can accomplish, usually without the mood swings of the lady.

Good luck to you and your wife! Hope everything 'comes out' ok!
