TOPIC: Hello from Germany

Hello from Germany
I am (obviously) not a dad, just a mom. Currently I am 33 years old, have 2 boys (15, first marriage and 6) and one about to pop out in a couple of weeks.

I lived in the US from 2004-2009 and had to move back to Germany due to my parent's age. So I packed up my family and moved back home - literally! It is not an easy life having parents around, taking care of the own family and trying to run a business - all at the same time. My husband (43) is a great partner and without him I would not be able to manage. I would freak out on a constant base!

We keep on being on this site and laugh a lot. It makes life so much easier knowing others have the same issues we have - and the advise is great as well.

I am not necessarily here to ask many questions, maybe a few to understand my husbands actions, but more to answer this and that about the "dark side" of a woman during pregnancy. And believe me... that side can go pitch black! I hope my husbands and my experience might help some to get through this time. But also the time after can be stressful. Otherwise I just keep on reading.

I personally think, it is great to have a site for dads. It shows me as a woman, how my own partner may take this whole family and pregnancy thing, what his thoughts and feelings might be and what he is going through.

Thanks to everyone on here I have learned a lot already!

Dadchelor Parties

Daddy Clay talks to Beth Feldman, Founder and President of RoleMommy.com about a few "dad trends." Dads are becoming more involved with everything from the very beginning, including doctors appointments and even baby showers. A Dadchelor party is a get together for new Dads that is essentially, diapers for beer. Guest bring diapers and beer is served while you watch movies or maybe the game. At a Dadchelor party, baby kegger, ok, strippers, not ok. (Trust us on this one.) Another great idea for new Dads is to take the Mom-to-be on a "Babymoon" where she gets pampered and can relax. Well, relax as much as one can when building a human. Episode 868
