TOPIC: First Time Being a Dad

First Time Being a Dad
2 Years, 10 Months ago
Hey Dads,

My name is Moe, I am from Kuwait. I have been married for a year and a half and now we are expecting our first child.

I came across this website after googling advice for car seats, and I have to say i love it here, it is great to have a website dedicated to dads. Keep up the good work.

My wife is now 5 months pregnant and we found out thats its a boy. To find out that you are going to be a father is exciting enough, but finding out that it's a boy is like icing on the cake

Just wanted to say hi to all the dads and I hope I will give as well as gain knowledge from all the dads in this community

Cheers
Big Daddy Moe

Hi there ... same here .. i'm a first time dad. Mine's due in Sept.

I've been looking around the same thing ... Pram and Car seat ... some brands comes in a combo where the pram can turn into a car seat etc ... but those are usually big and heavy and worse part is the car seat is only good till a certain age say 10 months.

Therefore i bought the Recardo i+Start (japanese version) cos you can use it from infant till 13kg which means you can use it for a longer time.

Now my headache goes to the Pram/Stoller, I was looking at Stokke's Xplory, have heard all the good but the folded up size is still very big in my opinion and I've decided to go for something light, at least my wife can carry when i'm not beside her.

Do let me know if you saw anything good.

Good luck! Happy fatherhood!

thx

Dadchelor Parties

Daddy Clay talks to Beth Feldman, Founder and President of RoleMommy.com about a few "dad trends." Dads are becoming more involved with everything from the very beginning, including doctors appointments and even baby showers. A Dadchelor party is a get together for new Dads that is essentially, diapers for beer. Guest bring diapers and beer is served while you watch movies or maybe the game. At a Dadchelor party, baby kegger, ok, strippers, not ok. (Trust us on this one.) Another great idea for new Dads is to take the Mom-to-be on a "Babymoon" where she gets pampered and can relax. Well, relax as much as one can when building a human. Episode 868
