Hi everyone, I'm Sam and my wife of 7.5 years and I are expecting our first child in August 2012. I'm a Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) Specialist and she's a Medical Lab Tech, at least until August--we're hoping/planning for her to be a full-time mom. Time to pinch-pennies and get financially smart!

I enjoy anything outdoors, woodworking and home-stuff. I'm extremely excited about becoming a father.

I ran across this site while searching Google for how to pick a car seat--seems like a neat site and I like that's it's Dad-centered!

I suppose that is all for now.

Feel free to jump right in. We've got a few years of forum topics, but don't hesitate to start a new thread or ask anything at all! There are also over 800 vid episodes covering all kinds of topics, including car seats.

Welcome Sam! I guess you won't be needing any advice about insurance policies and maternity ward tours. Maybe you could share some advice with the more medical industry challenged among us.
