Expecting Dad in central California

Hello everyone. I'm a step dad to an amazing 8 yr old girl and my wife and I are having our first child together, due in mid Jan. of 2011. We recently found out that we're having a boy. Honestly, I'm a little scared but we've planned for this (the best we can) and we are both extremely happy. No questions currently, I'm studying as much as I can. This is a fantastic resource and I'm glad this website/community exists and I was lucky enough to find it.

Welcome BigPahPa! We're glad you found the site as well. Interesting the you experienced parenting an older kid first then circled back to do the baby thing. Must give you an interesting perspective. How long have you been a step-parent? When questions do arise, I hope you won't be shy about asking. Cheers.

Hey Daddy Clay,

First let me tell you, your videos with Daddy Brad are incredible. Really informative and hilarious. Everyone of them, so thank you both for those!

So I've been a step dad for about 4 years now. My wife has told me it was awesome to see our daughter and I learn how to be father and daughter to each other and I really have to agree. The little one has taught me so much, much more than I've taught her so far. There is still a ton I have to learn when it comes to raising an infant but I don't feel as scared about it, with the resources I have to learn from. Thanks again to everyone involved here at dadlabs.com for the great videos!

I did think of one question I'll post here and when I get a chance I'll skim the forums in case it's been addressed already.

What is your opinion of the 'Bradley Method' of natural childbirth. Have you or Brad experienced this or know couples who have?
