I came across this sight through a Google search. My wife and I are expecting our first (a little girl) in about a month. Always looking for helpful advice and suggestions. Plan on doing a lot of reading, and very little posting, but I know myself better than to believe that will actually happen (I am a talker).

Congrats. We are expecting a 2nd girl Oct 1, so you and I will be up all night at similar times.

With our first, year one was super taxing, all consuming, and difficult for me. Year two has been nothing short of amazing and wonderful.

#1 came along 2 1/2 weeks early with no warning. WIfe was graocery shopping all morning thinking she was having really bad cramps, not realizing they were contractions. Car seat was not even installed yet...so, now is the time to get your stuff ready for the birth day if you have not already.

I am in the same shoes you are. I don't have much advice to give except to take the advice from all the (good) dads that have gone through is before. Learn from their mistakes and above all, love your kid with all your heart, adore them, and tell them you love them.
