5 year Dad in divorce/custody Hell

Hello. I have a beautiful 5yr old daughter. We have a wonderful relationship. Recently I filed for divorce and my wife went nuts. She kidnapped my daughter and is doing a bang up job of alienating me.

I have always been a progressive parent and very involved so this is hammering me pretty good. I'm here to find other dads with similar problems, and to help others learn from my mistakes - but basically really excited to find other dads who are excited about being Dads! Can't wait to read the whole website! [img/]

That's a heartbreaking story, bro. I'm really sorry to hear that you are going through this. I can't even really imagine. I hope that you are getting good legal advice and representation.

Are you seeking custody?

I'm married, but have lots of divorced or divorcing friends -- tough challenges, but it seems like there are definitely "good" ways to manage the process. Sounds like you're not off to a great start.

I hope that you'll share your story, ask questions. And I hope that the dads here can be some help to you.

I hope cooler heads prevail and your soon to be ex realizes that the best thing for your daughter is for BOTH parents to have meaningful relationship with her. Be strong and good luck.
