Dose and Dump
3 Years, 2 Months ago
Not that I have ever done this, but I heard of parents who have actually hopped there kids up on Tylenol and sent them to school when they had not been fever free for the required 24 hour period.

Any of you Typhoid Harry's ever done this?

Please. I would never do this. And I condemn all that do.

Haven't had the need for this... yet... and seriously hope I never have to consider it…

Okay! Okay! I'm guilty.

And you would think that when my kid was in a community daycare, all with families I know, that I would be LESS likely to dose and dump than at the much more anonymous school district run pre-K. Not so! Much more likely to dose and dump on those poor suckers like Daddy Troy and Daddy Brad and their kiddos.

Psychology is strange.

Dose and dump? Seriously, back when I was a kid the parents said I had to go to school unless I was going to the Hospital. If I was too sick for school, I was too sick for TV and Video games at home all day. And I'm pretty convinced Tylenol costs money and therefore in today's economic climate, simply not an option for the masses. Nope, no dosing... just dumping. Now all I have to do for when my kid is old enough is to locate the route that takes him uphill to school in both directions, dump a little snow on it, make him walk it, and presto... old school all over again.

Nah haven't dosed and dumped yet. My boy has had the impeccable timing to recover on a weekend.

Well our son is 7 months old so definitely no dosing and dumping going on here. On top of that I'm a pharmacist and I know how easy it is for kids to become addicted to something as simple as cold medicine. I'll pass. Medicine is always a last resort in our household. I agree with Izzy, our kid will be just one of the dumped kids, no dosing.

Dadchelor Parties

Daddy Clay talks to Beth Feldman, Founder and President of RoleMommy.com about a few "dad trends." Dads are becoming more involved with everything from the very beginning, including doctors appointments and even baby showers. A Dadchelor party is a get together for new Dads that is essentially, diapers for beer. Guest bring diapers and beer is served while you watch movies or maybe the game. At a Dadchelor party, baby kegger, ok, strippers, not ok. (Trust us on this one.) Another great idea for new Dads is to take the Mom-to-be on a "Babymoon" where she gets pampered and can relax. Well, relax as much as one can when building a human. Episode 868
