TOPIC: Wife wanting plastic surgery

Wife wanting plastic surgery
1 Year, 11 Months ago
Out of the blue, my wife has decided she wants a face lift. She has mentioned that it's called a lifestyle lift. I don't know much about the procedure and I want to be able to help care for her and help her recover as much as I can. Is there any information that anyone can offer me about the actual lift and what she should expect? Anything at all would help. Thanks.

It's posts like this that make me feel like this forum may be a little too PC for me. Or that i may be a little too ...unsophisticated for this forum. For some reason I feel like I really shouldn't respond to this post.

But it is a Dad forum meaning that it is a man to man forum...

Oh it's a lifestyle change all right.

Have you seen examples of facelifts that have turned out correctly? Certainly research the doctors results.

How is it that celebrities have a ton of money and access to the best surgeons and they all still look like freaks after cosmetic surgery? I can't even look at Julia Roberts anymore. Kenny Rogers? What was he thinking? Don't get me started on the once super cool now super pathetic Burt Reynolds.

If you want to supoport her, I recommend being the voice of reason. Her face tells the story of who she is and where she's been. If you love her, then she's beautiful. She desn't have to be a classical beauty for her to be the most beautiful person in the world as far as you are concerned. If she was born with a cleft pallet or something then that is one thing, but to get a face lift to smooth out some ageing usually results in a bit of a freak show.

Can you post before and after pics of the doctors work so we can see what we are giving you feed back on?

This thread is not about me, but am I wrong here? Can anyone cite positive examples of face lifts?

Either way, good luck.

I like your take, T. Lowe. I wonder how sincere this post it. Are you serious, coltleader?

Yeah, this sounds a wee bit fishy, sir. Are you talking about your wife, your mother, or are you just spamming us?

If I am mistaken, please accept my apology for sounding so skeptical. My advice would be similar to T. Lowe's. Always, always err on the 'you're perfect as you are' side when it comes to your spouse.

(But if I'm correct and you are a spammer, allow me to allieve T. Lowe of his PC perception by telling you to fuck off.)
