Well we made it there and back, but I can say, next time, we're taking the direct flight there and back. Our son did surprisingly perfect on the first flight, that's right I'm bragging. Unfortunately for our flight to Denver, we had a one stop in Arizona (our first mistake). Of course when we landed our son thought, "great we're here! No more plane ride, I can finally run around." Oh sorry son, looks like you'll need to be grumpy on this next flight. Thankfully it was near his nap time, so with the special ninja skills of my husband, our son only really had a less than two minute tantrum. And nap time lasted the full flight there. Our second mistake was... having our flight home during nap time. Trust me, if we were not flying with my mother in law and grandmother in law, I doubt we would have made those mistakes. Our third mistake was not packing toys that did not require to be turned on electrically to play with... now I know why toys are sold here the gates.

next time, one way flights each way, purchasing more milk before boarding, and just flying with husband and our kids, everyone else can just meet us there

Great tips! Especially to remember non electronic toys. I have to remember that one.

Also good to remember to explain all the stops, so expectations don't get set.
