Toys That Rock (and some that don't)

If your kid has a toy or toys that he or she really, really loves, please share it with the community. Educational, active, cuddly or just plain fun, please tell us about it. It would be helpful to include purchase information as well. We will contribute in this section mini-reviews of the toy samples that we are sent from time to time.

If you have something that you had high hopes for, but the kids just never got into, we want to hear about this as well.

Santa is always watching and wondering what to fill his sleigh with, so help a fat brother out.

The good, bad and ugly from the toy section. Bring it on.

For my 5 year old son, this is the go to toy www.stomprocket.com/stomprocketjunior.html.

It's so simple, and yet so dynamic, and there's so much to discuss with the boy in terms of aerodynamics, thrust, kinetic energy etc.

We bought this for our son about 2 years ago and he's gotten hours of entertainment out of it.

The foam rockets are soft. The launcher is 'pretty' durable. The stand that it came with has finally given in after two years of abuse.

It's great because how often does a kid here a grown up tell him, "now I want you to jump up and stomp on this as hard as you can?!"

The only drawback is that it is exclusively an outside toy.
