The wife and I are working on a more disciplined family financial plan, this includes how and what we teach the kids about money. Our next decision is whether to give the older 2 children an allowance or put them on a chore based commission.

Both tactics have positives and negatives. Allowance highlights responsibility, family unity, etc. while commission teaches the concept of work for money.

Anybody have thoughts on this one? Allowance or Commission or a mixture of the two!
