TOPIC: Parking on Zig Zag Lines

Parking on Zig Zag Lines
5 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I am currently writing an article on ‘School, keep clear’ zig zag lines that are outside schools.
I would be really grateful if I could have your feedback on this topic. For example
 Are you one of the parents that flaunt the rule? If you are, I would like to know why. For example, no parking, not enough time etc.
 Has your child’s school run a ‘no parking on zig zag lines’ campaign and if so, what where the results.
 Have you unfairly received a parking ticket for parking on them due to poor signage? Our zig zag lines carry a further parking limit due to a single yellow line running alongside it but the sign for it is at the other end of the road.
 Is the sign covered over when the school is closed? This is a legal requirement by the Department of Transport.
 If you live next to a school you may witness a patrol advising parents not to park irresponsible but then they accept deliveries, postage and bin men.
 Does the school transport pick up and drop off on the zig zag lines?
 Are there railings along the length of the zig zag lines, preventing the children from crossing in a safe place?
I would love to know your views or experiences on this matter. The things I have discovered so far is quite surprising but of course there are two rules everybody should always follow,
1. Never ever park on Zig Zag lines during school hours
2. Never park on a dropped curb, especially if it’s the emergency access.
Thank you for your views and experiences and I will let you know the outcome once I put the article together.

Regards Martin

Dadchelor Parties

Daddy Clay talks to Beth Feldman, Founder and President of RoleMommy.com about a few "dad trends." Dads are becoming more involved with everything from the very beginning, including doctors appointments and even baby showers. A Dadchelor party is a get together for new Dads that is essentially, diapers for beer. Guest bring diapers and beer is served while you watch movies or maybe the game. At a Dadchelor party, baby kegger, ok, strippers, not ok. (Trust us on this one.) Another great idea for new Dads is to take the Mom-to-be on a "Babymoon" where she gets pampered and can relax. Well, relax as much as one can when building a human. Episode 868
