New England's appreciation for Austin

So I just wanted to note that I've recently realized that there is a lot of Austin appreciation going on around here of late. There are still a lot of "Keep Austin Weird" stickers around and it seems like one of our local soda purveyors, Maine Root, has a strong connection to Austin. It seems as if the only tweets they ever send have to do with Austin (and there is no Austin, Maine). One of our registries is out of BabyEarth, which is apparently based in Austin. I've even looked into grad school at UTAustin. I guess I'm just feeling close to Austin recently... and yet so far away.

In the summer, everybody in Austin wishes they were up there! We actually get as far as Cape Cod for most of July. Austin is a great town. Please don't tell anyone. (I had a great experience at UT for graduate school -- an MFA in Playwriting.)
