I am still waiting my first baby, but I would like to know what do you like mostly to do with your kids? Swimming, Watching football game, basketball playing, etc... Everyone please post as well some photos of you with your kids doing the activity. I cannot wait to do so.

Well, I don't know what happens when they get older, but my experience for the first 1.5 years has been that the kid sets the agenda, not me. We do whatever she wants.

Take a walk? OK, sounds good, let's do that. Throw magnets on the floor? Sure, let's do that. Build and knock down the blocks 5,000 times in a row? OK, great, let's do that.

Recently it has actually gotten to the point where my 1.5 year old tells me not only what she wants to do, but where I should be sitting when the pre-specified play activity occurs.

I'm with Sam, my daughter is only 14 months old and she dictates how we hang out. I have taken her to sporting events, and those are always fun. She went to her first NHL game at eight months old and loved to see the guys speed past her!

The regular event that I get is Bath Time. The only time that I miss it is when I'm out of the house. It's a fun activity that we can share, and it accomplishes something (getting clean) at the same time!

Just have fun with however you spend time with your little one.

Yeah, I think the concept of a regular event between kid and Dad is really important. Just one-on-one time where we do something together and Mom is not around.

Rob mentioned Bath Time. That's a great one, but it doesn't work for my schedule unfortunately. Instead I carve out some time in the morning after Mom is already gone for work and before I need to drop my daughter off at daycare.

Family activities with everyone, including Mom, is great of course, but I found that it's also important to find one-on-one activities....even if the activity is just taking a Bath or playing with the blocks/toys in the morning.
We as a family don't do alot of specific activities but we do hang out alot. You know just chillin' wherever we are and talkin about random stuff like words we don't understand or telling made up stories. We also like to do photography. My girls 6 & 9 have been asking for their own cameras off & on for the past few weeks. As a photographer I'll need to comply soon. We used to go out and shoot randomly but now that the office has given me a few more responsibilities we have taken to movie nights.
Attachments:

Our son is now 3 weeks old, and in the mornings when he wakes up, we say a morning children's prayer with him. My wife has a list of them or something. Then, after he is nursed, burped, and changed, we read him a book. He loves to be read to and is very attentive. We believe in beginning education as early as possible. We do this in the morning and at night before we put him down for bed.

Dadchelor Parties

Daddy Clay talks to Beth Feldman, Founder and President of RoleMommy.com about a few "dad trends." Dads are becoming more involved with everything from the very beginning, including doctors appointments and even baby showers. A Dadchelor party is a get together for new Dads that is essentially, diapers for beer. Guest bring diapers and beer is served while you watch movies or maybe the game. At a Dadchelor party, baby kegger, ok, strippers, not ok. (Trust us on this one.) Another great idea for new Dads is to take the Mom-to-be on a "Babymoon" where she gets pampered and can relax. Well, relax as much as one can when building a human. Episode 868
