Nothing too special. He got two new train sets this morning. We bought a TrackMaster set at Big Lots about 2 months ago and picked up a set of Circa tracks at Target last night. There's actually a connector piece to connect them together. Boy, we're in trouble.

On her way home from work, Mom is picking up the cake and we'll do a quick cake ceremony and then dinner so he can go to his swimming lesson and I can go to my rehearsal of Poulenc's Gloria. Performance next weekend.

Tomorrow is the day in the middle. Our anniversary is the 29th. Tomorrow, Duncan will have been part of the family exactly half of the time that we have been married. I can barely remember what those two years were like.

You can suspect all you want. My baby has a hankering for beer and all he's had are the drops he can manage to get on his fingers when he sneaks in with a distracted drinker or from tipping back empty bottles and glasses. He does the same thing with coffee. He has gotten in the habit of saying "Nummy" after stealing a taste like that. He knows that it helps him get away with it. The tap locks will be installed before he turns 4!
