Family, and this could happen to you. It is well documented that Gordon Ramsey had whilst trying to conceive (his auto biography Humble Pie). For those of you that don’t know, here is a little insight into how he became to have four children.
The first was a result of sort after treatment as most couples do that has problems conceiving, child number one.
When they were ready for a second, once again they sort treatment. As any couple that seeks treatment knows, the chances of having twins are quite high. So it probably wasn’t a great surprise to discover that they were pregnant with twins, child number two and three.
Now comes the surprise, their fourth child was conceived naturally. Anybody that has tried to conceive naturally without getting results wouldn’t even dream of having a child by themselves. With this in mind, contraception just doesn’t get thought about.
Believe me, I know. After five years of trying naturally only to be told by a doctor “you will never have any children without any help”, the last thing on our minds was contraception. Our second child was not only a nice surprise, but it meant that our first child now has a brother that we never thought would be possible.
Whilst I am sure that Gordon and his wife are very happy with amount of children they are blessed with, I don’t think this would suet everybody. My advice to anybody that has had children via treatment is not to take it for granted that conception will end there.

I actually was imagining Gordon in the bedroom yelling at his wife like he yells at everyone on his shows... thankfully this had a good ending.

To your point, though, I have heard many stories similar to that. My cousin in GA was trying to conceive for years and they finally adopted an asian daughter. They loved the process so much that they went for a 2nd asian adoption and then a couple of weeks after returning from picking her up found out they were pregnant with twins, naturally.

They wanted a big family, thankfully, so they were ecstatic!

I can imagine that they were ecstatic, just like my wife and I were. They are in a win win situation. They have two little supprises of their own that they have always wanted and they have helped two other children get the best start in life that all children deserve.
