Hello fellow dads! My wife and I recently found out that our first child is on the way! I am definitely a little nervous, but honestly I am mostly happy/excited! I feel like hearing the news instantly changed the way I thought about EVERYTHING My wife and I are newlyweds but have pretty much been together all of our adult lives. We first started dating in high school when we were 16, we are now 23. I definitely have my share of worries however I can not even fathom doing anything other than making it work! We have always wanted children but just didn't think we would get such an early start! I look forward to reading all the invaluable information here as well as speaking to dads who have already "been there"!

It's an amazing ride to be a Dad. Only been at it for 4 years myself. I'm sure being a young Dad will have it's challenges... but one of the best parts, you won't be such an old man when your kid becomes a "grown up!"

Thanks a lot for the warm welcomes fellas While Nik is definitely right about having a child at such a young age will present challenges, we are not exactly your "average" 23 yr olds. We are somewhat home bodies (which may be what got us into this situation HEYOO )But in all seriousness, I look forward to getting to know the community better!

Welcome. There are tradeoffs that come with having kids at all ages. I've yet to find someone that think their way (young or old) was great. No regrets.
