Abby has started teething big time. she had 3 teeth come in last week alone and I see one or two more on the way. Hyland's is currently unavailable so I picked up a package of Humphrey's teething pellets instead. The literature inside the package says that "Babies aren't choosy when it comes to teething relief... fortunately moms are." Yeah, I am sick of these comments so I cannot let it slide. I sent the following email to Humphrey's. If I ever get a response, I will share it with everyone. I will recycle this email in the future if necessary.

I recently purchased a package of Humphrey's Teething Pellets due to the recall of Hyland's Teething Tablets. I read the enclosed literature and was surprised to see that Humphrey's believes that "Babies aren't choosy when it comes to teething relief... fortunately moms are." As a father and primary caregiver, I find this comment to be insulting towards fathers like me who willingly and gladly dedicate their lives to their children. Mothers, while very important to a family dynamic, do not have sole covenant on child care. Your literature also says that your products are "Time honored remedies for modern families." For this to be true, you need to realize that in modern families, both parents share the responsibility for child care. I cannot in good faith recommend your product to others and may not purchase your products in the future unless fathers and parents as a whole are given the respect they deserve.

Bravo. Sadly, you may want to keep this copy handy. Put "Insert Product Here" in place of "Humphrey's Teething Pellets" and wait for the next product to offend. If more dads speak up like this, maybe we will finally see less of this nonsense.

Do any companies come to mind that should receive this letter? I am happy to send it to them.
