TOPIC: Toddlers and their memorization skill

Toddlers and their memorization skill
2 Months, 1 Week ago

Here is a video of my niece when she was still 18 months of age, answering with the capitals of the countries asked.

Majority as I too, believe it is very nice and amazing of the toddler to be able to do this.

But there a little few who disapprove of the toddlers being taught and exercised to memorize a few real facts about the world that they may forget or keep in their brains later on as they grow up. They believe that the child has the right to enjoy her life (which I agree with too), and teaching them this much isn't right anymore (according to some comments).

But according to others as well, as the children's brains are exercised and practiced well this early, they have a great future and potential as their minds are broadened and have handled bigger things as toddlers as they may expect in their pre-schools or wheresoever in the near future. Of course, she was not deprived of fun and play time (in fact, she gets a lot of it).

I just want to hear your honest opinions about this conflict I see within the comments on my YouTube video. I'm really concerned with the perspective on how people find it wrong or unprofessional for the parent/teacher.
Thank you, please spread the video as well.
