4month old having trouble with bottle feeding

our son just turned 4months old today and we haven't had any trouble feeding him this whole time. we breast feed and bottle feed him when which ever one or the other is neccesary. all of a sudden this week he has not want to take the bottle at all from me. he would maybe drink 2-3oz from 7am till 5pm. my girlfriend would have to breastfeed him on her lunch break in the middle of the day. i feel like he's starving and i feel helpless while he's crying when i try to give him the bottle. he has just been refusing the bottle all week and will only eat off of her. has this happend to any of you guys? any suggestions? thanks.

When you bottle feed him is it formula or pumped milk?

Could be a temperature problem -- too warm or too cold. Have you tried feeding expressed (pumped) breast milk? I know it's a lot of work, but in this situation it might help. If you are feeding formula, you might try a different brand.
