My ex fiancée called off the engagement and broke things off with me just a little over a week ago and her first prenatal Dr appt is on Mon the 13th. The emotions of this breakup are still raw so I want some advice on how to keep my emotions in check while at her Dr appt.

I'm sorry to hear about your fiancee and the breakup. I don't know all the details of the situation, but during the first trimester her hormones are raging and her body (and mind) are undergoing huge changes. If you can remain calm and get through the first two trimesters, you may find that she reconsiders the decisions she made in the heat of the moment early in the pregnancy.

During the appointment, remember that if you can keep your cool, your child might have the opportunity to grow up in a household with both mom and dad -- a huge advantage in life.
