Due date is June 20 -- so I'm getting ready! I got a Baby Bjorn today A nice lady on Craigs List sold me her gently used one and it's awesome! I also got a bouncer seat that plays my mother in law's favorite church hymn Go My Children<br><br>Here are two pictures that I took tonight. (It was my wife's idea to put the stuffed bear into it)!

Daddy Ryan, that is hilarious! I just finished reading The Happiest Baby on the Block by Harvey Karp and after reading all about swaddling I decided to practice on our cat. See photo. My wife and I were laughing so hard during the process that I could hardly continue, but kept wrapping and finally got it done. Once fully swaddled in her little kitty burrito, she was quite content and was purring away. The dog found this whole business very interesting... Seriously though, this book has given me confidence that I now have a set of skills (including the swaddle) for calming a screaming baby, and I am feeling better prepared to handle the inevitable meltdown. My wife is getting induced on Monday, so it won't be long until I get to put my skills to the test... Best of luck to you and your wife. Daddy Jeff Attachments:

The swaddling works wonders! It's really funny... SCREAM SCREAM SCREAM swaddle and OUT! It was instantaneous for us. Lil' Baby Burrrritoh! (gotta trill that R) It gives you that false sense of control, but also lets you get some nappage in.
