Baby's Kickin Again!!!

I'm at work, and my Wife just called me to tell me that the Baby is kicking again. With just under 2 months to go here the baby has been kicking a lot lately. Lots of movement going on. It got me thinking about the first time I was able to feel it. New Year's Eve, she asked me to put my hand on her belly, and right as I did, I felt it!! Incredible!! We were even able to see her belly jump when the baby kicked. For me at least, it was an amazing wake up call (not that I really needed another one) to what's happening and what's coming.<br><br>I was just wondering what was going through anyone else's mind that first time the baby let you know it was really in there

. I'm not ashamed to admit that I got a little teary eyed that first time. It provided even more motivation (again, not that I needed any MORE motivation) to prepare, and try to be the best father I can be.

Dude! There's something ALIVE in there!! Creeps me out. Seriously. It's cool and all... but still really weird. Haven't you seen those movies? (Alien, etc.) Wait 'til ya start messin' with it. Tap on her tummy, and get a tap back. I can only imagine what that's like for the woman... and I'm so glad to be a man.

Never once got to feel the movement in my wifes belly. I was a little letdown about that, but got over it once my daughter was out and breathing. Would have loved to play Nik's games though!

I didn't feel her kicking much either. The first time I did was toward the end of the pregnancy and we were in birthing class and laying on the floor doing a breathing exercise. I had my hand around her and all of a sudden felt it. It actually meant a lot to my wife because she had felt bad that I never felt it the rest of the time. I bet I felt her maybe one or two more times, but not much. It is amazing to think that someone is in there. Kind of creepy when I think of scary movies like Nik (Have you seen the updated version of Dawn of the Dead?)
