TOPIC: the right bottle for cereal + formula

the right bottle for cereal + formula
1 Year, 3 Months ago
My little guy just started cereal with formula. We have been using Avent bottles and love those.
I am not sure which nipple to use for cereal. The #3 and #4 seem to not work. I know some other bottles are good but I would love to keep using our Avent.
Any suggestion?
thanks

I don't remember what the reasoning was, but I distinctly remember deciding that doing cereal in a bottle wasn't good. We stuck with the trusty spoon and bowl.

Do you mix formula, water and cereal in a bowl?

Well, I mixed the formula in a bottle first. then I used from the bottle to get the cereal where I wanted it. The bottle would go in the refrigerator for the next time it was needed.

My memory is that we spoon-fed cereal with all three.

Like Ben, I mixed formula in a bottle, then added formula to the cereal.

I highly suggest you check out my blog on some concerns about rice cereal, and follow the link to the original article on the subject. Like you need to worry about one more thing. But if I had it to do over again, I might do it differently.

DC would get his baby a subscription to a local, organic cereal co-op and let the baby figure out how to eat it themselves!

BAZINGA!

I'm not sure that regular rice cereal is a bad thing at all. Look at it from a practical standpoint. The method we used introduced rice cereal for a week. It's nearly as hypo-allergenic as you're going to get. On the null factor list is that your baby doesn't need anything from this stuff at this point. After a week of rice, enough to get him used to eating something, we switched to the real stuff, whole grain barley cereal, of course. It makes it light on gluten and rich on beer tradition! But a week of rice alone doesn't seem like it would hurt anything.

Dadchelor Parties

Daddy Clay talks to Beth Feldman, Founder and President of RoleMommy.com about a few "dad trends." Dads are becoming more involved with everything from the very beginning, including doctors appointments and even baby showers. A Dadchelor party is a get together for new Dads that is essentially, diapers for beer. Guest bring diapers and beer is served while you watch movies or maybe the game. At a Dadchelor party, baby kegger, ok, strippers, not ok. (Trust us on this one.) Another great idea for new Dads is to take the Mom-to-be on a "Babymoon" where she gets pampered and can relax. Well, relax as much as one can when building a human. Episode 868
