Just a little advice for those that are facing the daily job (and maybe nights too) of still feeding naturally just before you return to work. This may or may not concern you but just in case...
We were face with the decision about what shall we do about childcare when maternity was up and mum had to return to work. In the end we decided that it was best if I gave up work whilst my wife returned. A very hard decision but these things change our lives and priorities. I t turns out the least of our worries. Mum had managed to feed our son for 5 1/2 months before we even thought about turning to bottle (well done mum).
Our first son took to Tommy Tippy like a duck to water and so we thought our second son would too. Wrong. For a week we struggled to get our second son to bottle feed and with me taking over pretty soon, we began to panic.
Thanks to a little surfing, my wife found that this was a common problem and was quite relieved to discover that we weren't the only ones facing this issue. The solution was simple, we went out and brought a different bottle. The make was Nuk. I am pleased to say that he took it straight away and with mum expressing and feeding, there is no longer any reason why I don't do night duty. Thanks Nuk!
Just thought I’d pass this on to anybody have the problem. Remember (us as well) that all people are individuals, no matter how young they may be.
