A word about Swedish furniture..... If you choose to buy a crib form certain large box swedish furniture store , it would be wise to make sure that your wife likes the linens from that store. This is because if you buy a crib from that store, only a mattress form that store will fit the crib. And then again only linens will fit a crib mattress from that store.

So after spending money on said crib and mattress, we found that all the linens my wife purchased form a different store, and had fallen in love with didn't fit. This left my wife in state of severe pouting, the likes of which I have never seen.

She hated all the linens from said swedish store, and tried with all her might to make the ones she bought fit that mattress, it did not work. Now, because she did like the crib she wanted to get a smaller mattress to fit her linens, but her husband helpfully pointed out that the extra space between the crib and mattress could pose a danger to the baby...she had another bout of pouting.

So she then wanted to take back the crib and mattress, but hey were bought several months ago and receipts have been lost. This story ends with an intervention from my mother in law and sister in law who are now on there way to pick some crib linens from that Swedish store with my pouting wife.

I luckily have in-laws that will intervene and talk sense to my wife...you may not be so lucky

Stuff dudes just don't think about. Man, I wouldn't have been so lucky. I don't think anyone would have been able to talk any sense into my wife in this situation. That stuff would have ended up on Ebay or Craigslist! Hope it all works out.

You handled that well my friend and thank goodness for your mom and sister in law. Note to self, don't bitch about the gazillion receiving blankets and other frilly stuff she is going to get to make up for the Crib Sheets. I see new curtains in your future.
