TOPIC: The Perfect Push Present?

The Perfect Push Present?

A question in two parts...

Did you/will you give your partner a present in the delivery room after she gives birth to the baby?

If so, what makes for a really great push present?

No, I didn't (not sure if I should have).

The concept seems weird to me.....

"Hey, thanks for risking your life and health to give birth to our baby. Here's a gold bracelet..." ???

Too much pressure. No way could I find a gift that would express my appreciation for what she had just been through.

My wife may disagree.

I did get my wife a small push present. It was a simple, Sterling silver necklace and earring set with our daughters birthstone in it. Nothing extravagent, but she definitely appreciated it. She has literally worn the necklace every single day since I gave it to her, and I think she's only taken it off in the shower.

This has been on my mind for the last week or so. Our boy is due in August. My wife is not big on jewelry, unless it has significance.

I honestly was thinking of an engraved locket. She loves photos soooo much. And that way she can have pictures of her family close by.

My only fear is if I get her a necklace she won't really be able to wear it much cause babies are attracted to that kind of thing.

Dadchelor Parties

Daddy Clay talks to Beth Feldman, Founder and President of RoleMommy.com about a few "dad trends." Dads are becoming more involved with everything from the very beginning, including doctors appointments and even baby showers. A Dadchelor party is a get together for new Dads that is essentially, diapers for beer. Guest bring diapers and beer is served while you watch movies or maybe the game. At a Dadchelor party, baby kegger, ok, strippers, not ok. (Trust us on this one.) Another great idea for new Dads is to take the Mom-to-be on a "Babymoon" where she gets pampered and can relax. Well, relax as much as one can when building a human. Episode 868
