I also won one in a DL Live drawing just before my son was born.(BTW Thanks guys!) We used it a lot those first few days and then lost it under the bed for a week and just had to watch the clock. Now I think my wife uses it a little when breast feeding but other than that we don't use it anymore. I might have paid $25 for it if had more features like multiple kids, keeping data and letting you transfer that to your computer or something. I agree with Ben and think that the most I would pay would be about $15.

An app may have a lot of the same functions, but it isn't a nightlight or a silent alarm/alert. It doesn't stand on a dresser or clip to your belt. It is too expensive for what it is, but that's the benefit of a patent, I'm guessing. In not too long, every one of the baby supply makers will have one of these in their portfolio.

Don't be hating on a Daddy Tech gadget. I'd hate to have to pass a Touch or iPhone back and forth because we bought it to be a baby timer, even if it's just for a few months.

I really can't see using my Touch to replace the Itzbeen. It became portable furniture. Wherever the baby went, the timer went along. If I needed to do dishes during a nap, the timer sat on the sink. If I took a nap, I might set the aux timer to 30 minutes and buzz to get me up. It was super easy and no risk of expensive hardware.

The Touch has more important functions to perform. The WordWorld Build-A-Word app has saved my bacon several times now.

That's were you are WRONG.

My iPad is also a strobe light, for when I want to terrify my nursing progeny! With variable speeds and colors. I can also set it to Morris code!

Ok yeah. I think I'll look into it more.

I would be using my iPad, which lives at home anyways. I think to each his own however. If this app can hook me up with a silent alarm, it definitely serves as a night light seeing as how the entire viewing area lights up, I am sold.

That's the cool thing about iphone/itouch/iPad its essentially an all purpose portable computer that you can make it do anything as compared to dedicated devices.

If there is no app for that you can be sure it will be built. I build some apps on my spare time also.

If anyone is actively using an app for timing diaper changes, breastfeeding, meds, etc... please let us know! Maybe we could do a video review comparison of some of the apps.
