We’ve got another great giveaway for a few of our viewers. Three lucky winners will receive a copy of “Monday Is One Day” by Arthur A. Levine. It’s a great children’s book where working parents count the work week days one by one until the weekend arrives and the family gets to spend more time together.
It’s unique in that it features a variety of family types and geographic areas (single and married, black and white, gay and straight, urban and rural). Julian Hector’s colorful illustrations are another highlight.
About the Book:
One by one, the days of the week roll by. Monday is one day, Tuesday is blue shoes day, and Wednesday is halfway day.
With monster roars and splashy puddles, with crazy ties and hugs, kids and parents count the perfect small moments of their weekday time together, looking forward to the weekend, when the days will be all theirs.

I’ve been reading to our son since day 1. We read every day at bedtime. Not too many dad books out there, but our favorite is “My Dad” by Anthony Browne.
Been reading to my girlie since about six months – just to start routine mostly. Now she begs for books several times a day – especially when we have company.
She’s three and a half, so any book with princesses or based on a movie get her attention!
I try to read to our baby every day since she was born. Note the word “try” When I was pregnant I yard saled for children’s books and got a great library set up for her early. Some of my favorite stories are Love you forever by Robert Munsch & In a dark, dark wood: an old tale with a new twist by David A Carter.
We’ve read to our son since he was born. Right now at 18 months some of his favorites are Go Dog Go(anything with dogs in it), Ten Apples Up On Top, Corduroy, and Olivia. We always read before nap and bedtime as part of a wind down routine. Every once in awhile he grabs one of his books, climbs up in the chair and looks through them on his own. He loves books.
We started reading to our sons when they were about a month old. Now the older one has to read at least 3 books a night before bed!
We’re been reading since our little one was born and till this day do it at least three times a day. Any book with a truck is his favorite!
My daughter was in the NICU for 5 weeks and I started to read to her while she was there. I felt she could learn my voice better since there was always many other voices around. I try and read to her everynight. My wife started getting me book for father’s day that are just about dads so we could have special books for us.
since they were born… every night!!
