A long, long time ago when I was a kid in elementary school, one of my favorite days in the school cafeteria was Manger’s Choice. Essentially this was the day they cleaned out all of the leftovers from the refrigerator, dumped them into a big pot and made a big ass stew from everything we hadn’t eaten over the past two weeks.
I loved it! You never knew what you were going to get. The exotic flavor combinations introduced to me at such a young and impressionable age laid the ground work for an incredible culinary journey better know as my life. I’ll eat anything and relish the confluence of flavor that make the normal palette shudder.
