I’m Old, I Know.

It’s Monday morning and the hordes of rockn’ rollers that swarmed Austin over the past several days for the music portion of SXSW are now fighting security lines at our little airport in a mass exodus.  I would like to say that I am relieved the crowds are leaving so I don’t have to fight them in the restaurants, bars and clubs, but I can’t.  Truth be told, I didn’t even notice they were here.  I am so freaking old that I spent the entire festival quietly squirreled away in suburbia changing diapers and teaching my seven year old son how to play Mexican Train Dominoes.

The closest I came to a SXSW music venue was listening to my buddy Jeff Sass describe the festival on our weekly Cast of Dads pod cast.  He was actually in the midst of it all; downtown, badged up and discovering the up and coming superstars of the music business.  I was at home hanging out with my Mother In Law.

I did stay up until 10:45 on Friday night though, that Letterman dude is a hoot.

Take a listen.
