Now I’m no conspiracy theorist but I am pretty certain aliens are living among us; the swine flu is a communist plot created by the KGB to end humanity; and Elvis, Jim Morrison & DB Cooper play golf every Tuesday morning at the Cactus Country Club out side of Tucson, Arizona. So it strikes me as funny that in the midst of the rising number of global calamities, my colleagues at DadLabs snicker when I enquire about their disaster preparedness plans. Do they not realize that the end is near? Do they not understand that by the time they see the 4 Horseman flash across the sky it’s too late? I’ve got my 50 lb sack of beans in a watertight garbage can in the garage as well as 75 gallons of vodka stowed away under the house because everybody knows vodka will be used as medicine and currency in the post apocalyptic economy. Who’s house do you think those boy’s will come running to when the big one hits?
At least some of my Dad buddies will talk disaster with me. On the latest episode of Cast of Dads we discussed emergency preparedness among other things. Give a listen.
