Today, like every other day, I got out of bed at 6:00 a.m. But today, unlike every other day, I felt great. The grass was a little greener, the sky a little bluer, and the sun a little brighter. Because today, unlike every other day for the past seven months, my 6 a.m. wake up call was not preceded by a 4 a.m. and 2 a.m. and 12 a.m. wake up call.
Our little boy slept through the night for the first time in his life. And let me tell you it is awesome! I never realized how wonderful several 3-hour stretches of uninterrupted sleep would make you feel. (I had to get up once to pee)
I post this not to gloat but to offer hope to those parents among us who still have non-sleeping infants. I post this to encourage those parent’s, who are brutally tired this morning, to Keep The Faith!
Your baby will eventually sleep through the night and you will experience joys untold.
Now I must go knock on wood and offer lavish praise to the sleep gods so that my little dude will saw some serious logs tonight.
Two in a row?
Please.

Congrats! Hope ya didn’t jinx it.
Good for you. I’ve been sleeping through the night but Mrs Ben and the little one have not been so lucky. I have to say that my sleep isn’t restful, but that never seems to add anything in my favor.
Good for you, Brad. May it continue for decades!
Thanks guys. I jinxed it.
