What Sony brought together, let no man put asunder. Man I should have been a preacher.
Over the past few months I’ve been participating in the Sony Digi-Dads project with several other Dad bloggers from around the country. C.C. Chapman, Max Kalehoff, Jeffrey Sass, Michael Sheehan and I each received loaner gear from Sony, tested it out with our respective families and then blogged about our experiences.
The project was a hoot. The different perspective each dad brought to the exercise was intriguing and discovering the many different takes on a common theme was cool. Even though we represent several different stages of fatherhood, we discovered that our devotion to being involved Dad’s provided a common bond.
Not wanting to end the collaboration, we decided to create a weekly web pod-cast where the five of us gather digitally to riff on all things Dad. Thus “Cast of Dads” was born! It’s a virtual Dad jam session if you will. We recorded our first Dad cast this weekend and talked about:
- Introduction of the Dads
- Artificial vs. Real Christmas Tree
- Holiday decorating
- Mixed religious household traditions
- Shopping for Holiday presents
- What our kids asking for this year
- The coolness of all things Lego
Check it out and let us know what you think.
Also, head on over to my fellow “Dad Casters” sites and take a gander at their unique perspectives! They are all a bit more high tech than me!
Cast of Dads is a group of podcasting and blogging dads who gather to gab about fatherhood. The cast of dads includes C.C. Chapman, Jeffrey Sass, Max Kalehoff, Michael Sheehan, and Brad Powell, who collectively represent 13 kids from the youngest of babies to full grown adults. Each of them brings a unique perspective to being a father.
