Dads — If you own a Maclaren stroller, in all likelihood, it has been recalled. Every single stroller sold by the company since 1999 is affected.  The problem is with the hinge on the folding mechanism which can pinch fingers.  ”Pinch” may be an understatement as there have been upwards of as dozen reports of amputated fingertips.

If you own one of these strollers, get in touch with the manufacturer. And please let us know how the recall goes for you. This is the most massive recall we’ve ever heard of, and we’re assuming it’s going to be a pretty massive pain for everyone involved. (If it’s any sign of things to come, we could not get the official manufacturer’s page linked above to load.  Yipes.)
