Daddy Clay: Today in the lab we tackle a pernicious myth.
Daddy Brad: Fact, dads do not panic when told by their pregnant mom it’s time to go the hospital. Fact.
Daddy Clay: Fact.
Daddy Brad: Fact.
Daddy Clay: Fact.
Daddy Clay: Ridiculous.
Daddy Brad: Absurd.
Daddy Clay: Today’s episode on baseless dads stereotypes is brought to by Baby Bjorn and their baby carrier Original Spirit. Oeko-Tex certified, safe for your baby, Baby Bjorn.
Daddy Brad: To debunk this myth I’ve offered myself as a test subject to go through various test under highly controlled laboratory conditions.
Wife: It’s time. It’s time to go to the hospital. Honey, my water broke time to go to the hospital. It’s time. It’s time to go the hospital.
Daddy Clay: You know Daddy Brad, not only did we not find any signs of panic we didn’t find any signs of brain activity at all.
Daddy Brad: See. Myths. How about you Daddy Clay? I bet you didn’t lose your cool.
Daddy Clay: You know I’m trying to think back about what was going through my mind on that day… Man, what an idiot. That guy drives just like Brad. I’m gonna be a dad. I’ll never see a movie. I’ll never have sex again. Sex. What am I gonna do with those Spurs tickets? Oh, the covered parking only takes cash. Oh crap, I don’t have any cash. Oh, but Kim brought her purse. Wait, I think I was supposed to get her purse. I didn’t get her purse. Oh, She’s gonna be mad. Sex.
Daddy Clay: Cool as a cucumber.
Daddy Brad: For those few and unusual Dads who may feel a twinge of panic, we have an expert for you.
E. Pete Zeotomy: What’s it like for you dad, driving your wife to the hospital to have a baby. I’ll tell you what it’s like. It’s like the big game. And what do you need to do? You need to per-form. You need to reach that autotellic Gallic. . Vulva. Operational space in your life. You need to make the right side and the left side c’mon in the inside. Hypocrisy. You need to be like M-J. K-J. Freud. KO-BE. You need to hit the shot. Visualize yourself driving to the hospital. If you visualize and you actualize where you are your cool phernix, calmness will flow, to mom. Actualization. And don’t forget change, for the snack machines.
Daddy Brad: So now we want to hear from you. How did you respond when the pregnant mom told you it was time to go the hospital? Where you super cool like Brad and me. Or did you feel just a twinge of panic. Leave us a comment on this video or let us now at DadLabs.com join the conversation there you’re sure to hear from us. We’d love to hear from you.
Daddy Clay: We’d like to thank our sponsor, Baby Bjorn. Oeko-Tex certified, safe for your baby, Baby Bjorn.
Daddy Brad: We’ll see you next time, here in the lab.
