The role of fathers has shifted from man of the house to sherpa. Why do dads resemble pack animals when having to travel by air? Why does dad have to carry so much stuff like backpacks, diaper bags, a stroller, a car seat and much more? Can an Infant Cruizer from Gogo Babyz be the solution to change dads from sherpas back to just parents? DadLabs Ep. 763 is brought to you by Gogo Babyz.
Back in the day, fathers used to know best. We were the man of the house. Today, we've become sherpas. We're pack animals. The burro, the llama, the camel, the elephant, the ass of the family. In the past, family trips were more often conducted by car or train. In car trips, some tetris skills are called for but there was less hauling. And trains, trains have got porters. It's the airport that's done us in. Airports have turned us into musk oxen. And we resent being reduced to beasts of burden. We are not, after all, most of us anyway, donkeys in most regards. And they think we're octopi as well. We're treated as donktopi. Dads aren't donktopi. How much stuff do they think we can really carry? I'm sorry, but we've really absolutely reached the baring capacity of the modern dad. Backpacks, diaper bag, rolling bag, car seat, stroller. If you've got younger ones, you end up with a kid's carry-ons too. Throw in a newspaper, a magazine, coffee, and a bottle, you're pockets they're stuffed with random chargers, pacifiers, boarding passes, somewhere. And the whole time, you're supposed to be rolling video, updating your status, filing the tax returns and changing the oil on the lawnmower. She carries the baby. Other men traveling for work act like they don't have five screaming brats at home and have never been through exactly the same thing. They scoff and line up thirty deep at another checkpoint before they ever get in line behind you. Got your back? Ha. Solution - sure. Pack a little less. Check a little more. And use a Gogo Babyz Infant Cruizer.
