MACK: This is really a beautiful baby.

MEG: I know. He is so precious.

OWEN: We made a good one and we thought four was going to be too many but he’s perfect. We love him. He looks good on you. You hold him so sweetly. What about the two of you?

JODI: Are you trying?

MACK: We’re not not trying.

OWEN: Oh, wow, so are you pregnant?

MEG: No, I mean I don’t think I am.

OWEN: Are you doing it wrong?

No, I think we’ve got it.

OWEN: Are you sure?

MACK: Yeah.

OWEN: I mean, because there’s a wrong way to do it.

Yeah, I know. We’re doing it right.

OWEN: Are you putting the, you know, in the right…

MACK: Yeah.

OWEN: Are you doing everything, though?

MACK: I think so.

OWEN: [whispers in his ear]

MACK: Uh, I don’t see how…

JODI: What did you tell him?

OWEN: [whispers in her ear]

MEG: What did he say?

OWEN: It’s nothing to be ashamed of. We had problems too when we first got started.

MEG: I don’t think we’re having problems.

OWEN: What we did is we took science into our own hands. We got proactive and everyday when I got home from work we would take our temperature in all our different orifices with the same thermometer.

JODI: Yeah, we called it Pokey.

OWEN: It’s sort of like it’s a hot tub. If it ain’t 98 degrees I’m not getting in.

MEG: That’s really disgusting.

OWEN: And then 5 o’clock, boom! We’d go at it like racehorses.

JODI: Oh, you should tell them about the fear factor.

OWEN: Right, the fear factor we learned this on the internet. So it turns out if a woman gets shocked or surprised right at the moment when I’m setting my sailors to sea then she’s going to clench, suck in and up and it’s going to help. So I’d be like boo!

JODI: You should tell them about Bob.

OWEN: Bob, you know our neighbor Bob? Total nice guy. So we’re going at it and I text Bob, “come over right now. It’s an emergency!” And so Bob comes rushing through the door right into our room. If you think she was scared, Bob was like “Ahhh!” He looked like a squirrel! It was great. If I had been making love to him we would be holding his baby right now.

[Jodi and Owen sloppily kiss]

MEG: Here, can you take Oscar? Please? Excuse me! Sorry, we really have to go. It has been so nice.

OWEN: No, don’t go!

JODI: You should tell them about positions.

OWEN: Oh, this is the golden nugget! There’s ways to do it wrong, like I said, but there’s so many ways to do it right and we did everything. I mean we did different cultures.

JODI: We made some stuff up. They named something after us.

OWEN: They did. I have some pictures here that you can check out.

MACK: Oh, God.

OWEN: No, it’s true. Still photos really don’t capture it. The motion’s important. I’ll tell you what you’ve got to do. You’ve got to lift the legs.

MEG: Mack! Mack!

MACK: You know what? That’s probably a little much.

OWEN: Oh, totally. I’m sorry. That was inappropriate.

MACK: It’s fine but we’re probably just going to take off.

OWEN: You know, the thing is you’re the one who’s going to be doing it. So you’ve got to lift the leg. Do you feel that?

MACK: Yeah.

OWEN: Feel it tickle?

MACK: Uh huh.

OWEN: That’s fertility.

MACK: Ok.
