This gear garners the DadLabs Seal of Approval. DadLabs Ep. 276. Video is brought to you by BabyBjorn.
Daddy Troy: Welcome back to Gear Daddy, I'm your host Daddy Troy and we're in the middle of the week at Dad Lab’s so today I am reviewing the sling bookcase by One Step Ahead. It allows you to display books cover forward rather than spine forward and I'm giving one of these away. So stick around to the end of the video and I'll tell you how you can get one. They sling bookcase from One Step Ahead allows you to store and display your kids books from small kids books all the way up to large-format books. With kids, books the illustrations are just as important as the words. This bookshelf allows me to actually see the covers of the books. It gives me a visual cue for kids who might not be reading yet what a book is about. And this bookshelf will not place the family bookshelf with hundreds of books you receive or bought your kids. Instead, it's a way for you to store and display books in areas where you actually read with your kids. We all don't sit down at the bookshelf and read with our kids instead we might read on the family couch that's nowhere near bookshelf. This allows you to take away the clutter, take those books up off the floor and the coffee table, and put them into the bookcase. It also has some storage bins so if you have a book overflow or a few toys or other reading materials you can put them right here. And it also allows you as a family to be deliberate in your book choices. For example, for the week you as a family could sit down and say, what books are going to read for the week. Your children can go through the bookshelf and figure out and then actually can go and place these on to the bookcase. This is a really kid friendly bookcase. It's low-slung, it's easy for little kid’s hands to put the books in and out of. They have a sense of ownership that it's theirs and so it really promotes family reading. So it's a sling bookcase from One Step Ahead and it gets the Dad Lab’s seal of approval and if you want to win one go to dadlabs.com we’re one away leave a comment on this particular video. We’ll see you next time on dadlabs.com. Baby Girl: That's a wrap.
