Educational toys are great options for parents to look at when buying gifts for children. In this episode of Gear Daddy, Daddy Troy introduces us to the Playmobil Pyramid. This toy is one of nine sets of the Egyptian Collection from Playmobil Toys. It includes all sorts of great features like breakaway walls and a scorpion trap. Daddy Troy: Welcome back to DadLabs, I'm Daddy Troy. Today I have the pleasure of being with Michelle Winfrey from Playmobil and they have a thing called the Egyptian collection. It's really cool, and the centerpiece of that is the pyramid. We're gonna show that to you right now.

Michelle: Here we have our Egyptian pyramid, which is the center item for our Egyptian collection of a total of nine sets. The pyramid comes with everything you see here, has wonderful hidden compartments. You can hide this. All of the sides come off.

Daddy Troy: Oh look at that. That's fun. So a kid can actually get his or her hands in there.

Michelle: It has breakaway walls.

Daddy Troy: Breakaway walls. I love it.

Michelle: You have a sliding staircase through here. You have a scorpion trap hidden in the back there. Bad guy goes up, the child can break away the wall, the bad guy can fall through into the scorpion trap. This is a different type of tool for Playmobil. It's very interactive. It's very educational.

Daddy Troy: Kids are gonna have so much fun with this. What is the age group you think would like this type of toy?

Michelle: The pyramid starts at age 5, because of it's complexity. All the other items in the Egyptian collection start at age 4. Accompanying the Egyptian collection, we have this wonderful interactive CD. Inside the CD, the child learns about Egypt, learns about the Playmobil product, gets to play these wonderful games, a chariot race. There's a coloring page.
