Traveling can be difficult enough without the added pressure of having to haul a baby car seat around. Thankfully, there are great travels bags that can help. Using a Britax car seat, Daddy Troy demonstrates how to load up an infant car seat inside this unique travel bag in this episode of Gear Daddy. This rolling bag can keep car seats clean and makes traveling in airports or other locations easier for parents while leaving you free to deal with your kids. A backpack style carseat tote bag is one of the best car seat accessories for dads. And who doesn't love wheeled luggage? DadLabs ep. 425.
DADDY TROY: Welcome back to Gear Daddy. I’m your host, Daddy Troy and this week we are reviewing the carseat travel tote by Safe Fit. There are three reasons why you might want some sort of bag to carry your car seat with you when you’re traveling.
The number one most important reason of all is that if the bag has straps on it, it allows you to deal with your children rather than concentration on carrying the car seat around.
The second reason is that airports can be pretty dirty and germy places. If you’ve got a really nice car seat like this Britax model right here, why would you want to get it all dirty in the airport? Stick it in a bag. It’ll stay clean. And the third reason is that it provides protection for the car seat. You don’t want these straps or anything else getting caught in an escalator.
There are a bunch of reasons why I like the car seat travel tote in particular. This specially designed bag is sewn to the contours of a car seat. This bag has two straps rather than one. If you have just one strap and you put it on the thing bounces around like crazy but with two it’s much more stable. The straps are detachable. It also has two handles on the top as well as wheels on the bottom that allow it to roll through the airport.
It’s made out of sturdy nylon and what’s also unique about this one is, there’s another model that I’ve seen in which this is the part that goes on your back, the flat part. In this particular model here the curved part goes against your back and it fits well with your back’s contour.
Well that’s all this week for Gear Daddy. We’ll see you next week and all week long at DadLabs.com.
