Daddy Owen: This week’s Daditude is brought to you by the good people at Graco. Okay welcome to another edition of Daditude and another edition of Conversations with Arden. Today we’re going to learn what kids really think about road trips. Arden what do you like to do in the car when we are driving? Arden: Tickle, tickle, tickle Daddy Owen: You like to tickle? Like I am driving, you wouldn’t tickle me while I am driving would ya? No, good. Because that was the first thing I learned in defensive driving was no tickling. Now what is it that is really important to do when you get into your car seat? Arden: Tell me. Daddy Owen: Do you think it is important to strap the strap up? Arden: No. Daddy Owen: What? Do you think it is important to make sure that the car seat is properly installed? Arden: No. Daddy Owen: What? Do you think it’s important to make sure that nothing in the car is currently on fire? Arden: No. Daddy Owen: What? Arden! Have you been watching some other parenting website? Do you like to sing songs while driving? Arden: Got to-gotta-gotta-go Daddy Owen: Uh huh, uh huh yeah yeah. What is important for dads to do to make sure their kiddos are having a fun time in the car? Arden: They got to drive. Daddy Owen: They do have to drive, that is probably number 1. Good driving, good. Arden: They’ve got to put their kid’s seat belts on. Daddy Owen: That’s a great answer. Wow Arden! Why do I even quiz you on this you’ve got it going. There is an entire foot in your mouth. Oh my goodness you are like me at a cocktail party. How does that taste? Arden: Good. Daddy Owen: Really what does it taste like? Arden: (mumbling) Daddy Owen: Your toes taste like chocolate milk? I agree completely. Well I don’t know who Obama should choose as a VP but it has got to be someone good. Well now you are talking radical thoughts. What kind of music do you like me to put on while we are relaxing in the car? Oh I love that song, I love anything by Radiohead. So yeah I am totally with you. Doing bad imitations of Rosanne Barr while driving, safe or dangerous? Arden: Dangerous. Daddy Owen: Yes usually dangerous no matter what you are doing. Hey Arden what are some other cars we see while driving? Arden: Garrrrf. Daddy Owen: Garfs? Yes, Garfs those new European cars, great gas mileage. This has been another Conversations with Arden. I hope you have learned something.
